NEW CELL PHONE RULE FOR DANCES

To help everyone stay present and enjoy the night, cell phones will be collected at the door. Here is how the process works:

1.    Drop off your phone at the Check-In table when you enter.

2.    Receive a numbered wristband that matches your phone’s secure spot.

3.    Show your wristband at the exit when you leave to collect your phone.

Please note that phone check-in is required for entry. Refusing to check in your phone means you will not be admitted to the event. Additionally, if you are found with a phone on the dance floor you will be asked to leave.

OPEN GYM

As part of OMS school wide positive behavior program, we are excited to announce our first open gym of the year will be October 20th, in the morning during Jaguar period!  You need 5 Jaguar passes to attend.  Please come to the guidance office to redeem your tickets prior to the 20th!

ATHLETICS

Attention student Athletes: Any 7^th or 8^th grade student interested in wrestling this year whose parents missed the sign-up meeting at Parkland High School can stop by room 154 to pick up the wrestling sign up information papers from Coach Montes at OMS and Coach Groover at SMS.

TRANSPORTATION

BUS PASSES WILL ONLY BE ISSUED FOR EMERGENCY SITUATIONS THIS YEAR!

Students staying after school for activities must have transportation home. The late activity bus is no longer available.

If you are going to SMS or PHS it is your responsibility to let your last teacher know that you need to be dismissed at 2:30 so you can catch the 2:38 shuttle bus to SMS/PHS. This is bus #35 and will be located in front of the field house.

• IMPORTANT: All students must report to the main office to sign in when coming to school late and all students must report to the main office to sign out when being picked up early from school for appointments.
• Parent drop-off/end of day pick-up is located at the auditorium entrance on the south side of the building, facing Burger King. Enter parent drop-off/pick-up from the rear of the building using Stadium Road. Students are required to be in homeroom by 7:45 to be marked present. After 7:45 students must enter the building through the main entrance and sign in at the main office.

MISCELLANEOUS

Forgotten Gym Bags – Due to the large number of students who forget their gym clothing, it is your responsibility to check the vestibule for your gym bag before your class begins.
